Before using UniVirtual.Academy's (together with any parent or subsidiary, ("UniVirtual.Academy", "us", "our", and "we") website, software, products, mobile application(s), and services (together, the "Services", "our Services", or "UniVirtual.Academy's Services"), it is important that you carefully read the following agreement. The website located at www.UniVirtual.Academy (the "Site") is a copyrighted work belonging to UniVirtual.Academy. Certain features of the Services may be subject to additional guidelines, terms, or rules, which will be posted as appropriate in connection with such features. All such additional terms, guidelines, and rules are incorporated by reference into these Terms of Service.

THESE TERMS OF SERVICE (THE "TERMS") ALONG WITH UniVirtual.Academy'S PRIVACY POLICY SET FORTH THE LEGALLY BINDING TERMS AND CONDITIONS THAT GOVERN YOUR USE OF UniVirtual.Academy'S SERVICES. BY USING THE SERVICES, YOU ARE ACCEPTING THESE TERMS (ON BEHALF OF YOURSELF OR ANY ENTITY THAT YOU REPRESENT), AND YOU REPRESENT AND WARRANT THAT YOU HAVE THE RIGHT, AUTHORITY, AND CAPACITY TO ENTER INTO THESE TERMS (ON BEHALF OF YOURSELF OR THE ENTITY THAT YOU REPRESENT). YOU MAY NOT USE THE SERVICES OR ACCEPT THE TERMS IF YOU ARE NOT AT LEAST 13 YEARS OLD. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH ALL OF THE PROVISIONS OF THESE TERMS, DO NOT USE THE SERVICES.

THESE TERMS REQUIRE THE USE OF ARBITRATION (SECTION 10.2) ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS TO RESOLVE DISPUTES, RATHER THAN JURY TRIALS OR CLASS ACTIONS, AND ALSO LIMIT THE REMEDIES AVAILABLE TO YOU IN THE EVENT OF A DISPUTE.

What is UniVirtual.Academy?

UniVirtual Academy LLC. (“UniVirtual.Academy”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) is an afterschool online Academy for middle and high school students that leverages a Virtual Reality educational platform (the “Services”). This Privacy Notice describes UniVirtual.Academy’s privacy practices in relation to the information that we collect, how we use the information, with whom we share it, and the choices you have in connection with this.
The Services are available to students and families that purchase UniVirtual.Academy classes.

We use this personal information to provide the Services, and for additional limited circumstances as described in HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION. As an Independent Teacher, you also have the ability to try UniVirtual.Academy by visiting our Services. In doing so, UniVirtual.Academy will collect personal information from you when you:

To create an account on UniVirtual.Academy, UniVirtual.Academy will collect name, email address, username, password, and payment information. UniVirtual.Academy uses this personal information to provide the Services, to process payments, to promote, market, and enhance the Services, and to communicate about the Services.

If you contact UniVirtual.Academy or send us any feedback, comments, or questions, you will provide us with your name and email address. UniVirtual.Academy uses this personal information to respond to your questions or inquires, troubleshoot where necessary, and address any issues you have with the Services.
(3) Subscribe to UniVirtual.AcademyAlerts and Updates

Student and Teacher Information
Educational Institutions can review or change the information provided to UniVirtual.Academy for the Services by reaching out to support@UniVirtual.Academy Additionally teachers can directly access and change personal information from their profile page, the are also able to delete their accounts. Additionally, parents and legal guardians have the right to review, the right to direct us to delete, and the right to prohibit further use or collection of their student’s personal information. Parents and legal guardians may consent to the collection and use of their student’s personal information without consenting to the disclosure of personal information to third parties, other than service providers we engage to assist us in providing the Services. We will take reasonable steps to verify the identity of a parent or legal guardian seeking to exercise these rights.
Independent Teacher Information.
As an Independent Teacher, you can amend or view certain personal information of yours in our possession by logging in to your account.
Google Analytics.
You can control the information provided to Google by using one of the methods set forth here. You can also download the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on for Google Analytics which can be found here

(4) Marketing Emails.
You may opt-out of receiving marketing emails from us by clicking the “unsubscribe” link provided with each email. Please note that we will continue to send you notifications necessary to Services, your purchase, and any assistance you request.

All session cookies expire after you close your browser. Persistent cookies can be removed by following your browser’s directions. UniVirtual.Academywill never use any student Personal Information to advertise or market to students or their parents. We will not mine student Personal Information any purposes other than those agreed to by the parties. Data mining or scanning of user content for the purpose of advertising or marketing to students or their parents is prohibited.


Nevada Residents

If you are a consumer in the State of Nevada, you may request to opt-out of the current or future sale of your personal information. We do not currently sell any of your personal information under Nevada law, nor do we plan to do so in the future. UniVirtual.Academy collects personal information from students and teachers where an Educational Institution has provided access to the Services. In this situation we collect and process the information for the use and benefit of that Educational Institution’s learning environment.
(1) Student Information
To provide the Services to the Educational Institution, UniVirtual.Academy receives personal information on students from the Educational Institution. This personal information includes username and passwords. The Educational Institutions are responsible for compliance with all applicable data protection laws including with respect to providing notice and acquiring consent for the collection and use of the Services and personal information as part of it.
We use this personal information to provide the Services to your Educational Institution, to prevent harm, to comply with legal obligations related to provision of the Services, to communicate with Educational Institutions about the Services, and for additional limited circumstances as described in HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION. UniVirtual.Academy does not require more information that is reasonably necessary for a student of an Educational Institution to participate in the Services

UniVirtual.Academy will also receive, from the Educational Institution, information on teachers of an Educational Institution to facilitate learning via the Services. This personal information includes username, password, First Name, Last Name, Email Adresse and School Name. We use this personal information to provide the Services to your Educational Institution, to comply with legal obligations related to provision of the Services, to prevent harm, to communicate with Educational Institutions about the Services, and for additional limited circumstances as described in HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION

UniVirtual School Without Borders
Our non-profit arm, UniVirtual School Without Borders, provides accessible and inclusive immersive (in VR) STEAM education to middle school students from underprivileged communities in order to give them access to otherwise unavailable experiences, and teach them teamwork, empathy, and leadership. UniVirtual School Without Borders has a license from EcoSystemOne LLC to use its immersive learning platform and its curricula to provide synchronous active learning to students from underserved communities in the US.

UniVirtual School Without Borders’s goal is 1) to teach teens to apply science concepts through project-based team learning,
2) to enable better information retention through active participatory learning, and 3) to empower learning social skills (communication, collaboration, teamwork).

We target middle school students from underprivileged communities, including students of color, refugees, and other students who qualify for free or subsidized lunch in their schools. Our donors support the work we do and we are able to offer both our lessons and the necessary equipment at no cost to either student families or their schools.
